This black belt, designed for international competitors, is called “Taishō,” named after the strongest judoka on the team, who is usually the team captain. After years of experience with the new International Judo Federation standards, Kosakura’s Research and Development department created this model—a belt that closely resembles a thick belt but remains within official standards. It is also the only International Judo Federation-approved model that can be fully embroidered.

This black belt is made in Japan from high-quality 100% cotton.

With a width of 4.5 cm and 13 rows of top stitching, this style is highly durable and allows you to tie a large, elegant knot.
